So my bestfriend and I went out a few weeks ago. We haven’t seen each other in months. The last time we saw each other was about seven months ago, which was very tough because we would always see each other everyday when we were in high school. When we went to college we didn’t get to see each other that often because of our crazy schedules. Though we weren’t able to see each other we made sure to keep in touch with each other. We always have long phone call sessions on the weekends. Not really every week but we make it a point to catch up with each other when we’re not that busy. Like I said we didn’t see each other for months which meant that we didn’t see each other on her birthday my birthday or even Christmas. So before we went out a few weeks ago, I decided to get her a very late Christmas and Birthday gift. I really had no idea what to give her. I wanted to buy her something nice because it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other but unfortunately I was on a very limited budget so I couldn’t splurge on something quite expensive. I remembered my sister buying her friend a present at this little shop called “The Bead Shop”. I remember seeing cute handmade bracelets that could even be personalized. So I was at Trinoma about two days before our scheduled rendezvous. I was actually there to see David Archuleta’s launch as the new bench endorser. I wasn’t planning on buying her a gift on that day yet because I wasn’t sure if there was a branch of The Bead Shop there so I said I was going to buy her a present the day before we went out but luckily, there was a branch of The Bead Shop at Trinoma so I decided to buy her a gift already. I got her one of those handmade bracelets with a small personalized glass pendant with her name inside. I chose the dolphin shaped glass. So I was happy that I finally got my best friend a present but I never really told her that I have present for her. I just wanted to surprise her. So on the day of our little rendezvous, she came to my house then we chatted for a while. We really missed each other. Then I returned the book she loaned months ago. I put the book in a little paper bag together with another book “The lovely Bones” which she wanted to borrow and I also included the bracelet in the paper bag. When I handed her the paper bag I told her there was a surprise inside. When she saw it she had this weird look on her face. But she also looked surprised at the same time. Then she handed me a present. When I opened it, it was also something from the Bead Shop. That was such a weird moment we were both shocked then we laughed because it was so weird that we got each other almost the same thing. She gave me a necklace that also has a glass pendant with liquid inside. It was in the shape of a sun. We were both really surprised. We couldn’t stop laughing. It was so weird it’s like we’re really alike. What a coincidence. It’s so weird that we both decided not to talk about give each other presents and as it turned out we ended up giving each other super duper similar gifts haha! The rest of the day went well, we really had fun. We first went to Eton Centris then we went to Trinoma. We had so much fun talking, window shopping, trying on clothes and of course enjoying each other’s company.
